A Wellion LUNA blood glucose test strip is a high-tech product. The test strip consists of several layers, into which electrodes are incorporated using a complex process, whilst a biological substrate – glucose oxidase – is applied to the reaction zone using a precision process. Glucose oxidase is an enzyme that reacts very specifically with glucose in the blood. This reaction generates an electrical current, which is converted by the meter into a corresponding blood glucose reading and displayed on the screen.
The Wellion LUNA blood glucose test strips are equipped with NO CODE technology – which guarantees you added safety. We have deliberately chosen to produce the Wellion LUNA test strips in a handy size, making it very easy and safe to remove them from the container and insert them into the meter.
The end of the strip where blood is drawn into the reaction zone using Sip-in technology is, due to the strip’s dimensions, positioned far enough away from the meter to prevent contamination with blood. For use with the Wellion LUNA blood glucose meter.
