Weleda Birch Charcoal comp. capsules are a homeopathic medicinal speciality of the anthroposophic therapeutic direction. For use in acute digestive disorders with flatulence and intestinal cramps as well as diarrhoea.

The antispasmodic extracts of camomile root and the regulating and strengthening effect of antimonite, together with birch charcoal, which binds water and gases, help to normalise disturbed stomach and intestinal functions.

The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic remedy pictures, which include the following according to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature:

• Acute digestive disorders with flatulence and intestinal cramps as well as diarrhoea.

The use of this homeopathic medicine of the anthroposophic therapeutic direction in the areas of application mentioned is based exclusively on anthroposophic experience. In severe forms of this disease, clinically proven therapy is indicated.

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 1 capsule 3 to 5 times daily.
• Use in children: There is no sufficiently documented experience on the use of birch charcoal comp. in children under 12 years of age. It should therefore not be used.
• Route of administration: The capsules should be taken whole with plenty of liquid (1 glass of water).
• Duration of use: Birch charcoal comp. should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks.

Ingredients

• 1 capsule contains: The active ingredients are: 27 mg antimonite D2, 232 mg carbo betulae, 11 mg chamomilla recutita, radix, ethanol. Decoctum ∅=D1.
• The other ingredients are: Lactose, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallising); capsule shell: gelatine.
