Weleda cough syrup is a traditional herbal medicinal product to facilitate expectoration and relieve irritation caused by coughing during a cold. Relieves the coughing irritation and loosens the cough.

In the case of a respiratory infection, Weleda cough syrup works on several levels and thus accompanies you through all phases of coughing:

Thyme and quendel herb have a warming effect and inhibit inflammatory processes. Aniseed has an antibacterial effect, liquefies the mucus and makes it easier to cough up. Cow parsley and sundew have an antispasmodic effect and soothe irritating coughs. White horehound and ipecac root promote the expectoration of thick mucus. Bittersweet nightshade counteracts a tendency to catch colds caused by damp and cold weather. The extracts of marshmallow root contain mucilage, which protects the inflamed mucous membranes of the upper airways.

The combination of these high-quality plant extracts helps to loosen and liquefy mucus and make it easier to cough up.

Thanks to its mild soothing effect and pleasant flavour, the syrup is particularly suitable for children. Suitable for children aged 1 year and over!

This medicinal product is an anthroposophic, traditional herbal medicinal product which is registered exclusively on the basis of many years of use for the stated indication. This medicinal product is used in adults, adolescents and children from 1 year of age.

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 4-5 x 5 ml daily, children from 6-12 years: 3-4 x 5 ml daily, children from 3-5 years: 3 x 2.5 ml daily, infants from 1-2 years: 3 x 1.25 ml daily.
Coughs in children under 2 years of age should be clarified by a doctor , which is why Weleda Cough Syrup should not be used in children under 2 years of age without medical clarification. Weleda Cough Syrup should not be used in children under 1 year of age as there is insufficient documented experience.

Ingredients

100 g (=76 ml) contain: 30 g liquid extract (DEV: 1:6-7) from a mixture of stem parts of bittersweet nightshade (Dulcamarae stipites), horehound (Marrubii herba), aniseed (Anisi fructus), quendel herb (Serpylli herba) and thyme (Thymi herba) in a ratio of 1/2.33/3.33/2.33/19, extractant: water; 0.1 g liquid extract of ipecac root (Ipecacuanhae radix) (DEV: 1:9-10), extractant: ethanol 62 % (m/m); 0.002 g liquid extract of the fresh whole plant of sundew (Drosera, planta tota) (DEV: 1:1-2), extractant: ethanol 86 % (m/m); 0.00003 g liquid extract from the fresh whole plant of pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris, planta tota) (DEV 1:2-3), extractant: ethanol 86 % (m/m).
