Waya Lax® citrus-flavoured oral solution is a medical device containing the active ingredient: macrogol 4000. WAYA Lax® gently and effectively relieves constipation. It is suitable for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.

It has a very pleasant citrus flavour and is sugar-free and gluten-free. Through an osmotic mechanism, the product regulates bowel function and relieves the problems caused by constipation. It is available in sachets for direct consumption, which makes dosing easy.

The active ingredient in WAYA Lax® is macrogol 4000, which binds water, thereby softening the stool and facilitating bowel movements. The product’s effectiveness does not diminish over time, as the body does not build up a tolerance to it.

Directions for use

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 to 4 sachets per day. Increase or decrease the dose to achieve regular bowel movements of soft stools – the response to taking the product varies from person to person. The maximum dose is normally no more than 4 sachets per day. Take the contents of the sachet as they are. Immediately after taking a WAYA Lax® sachet, you must drink a sufficient amount of water, namely 125 ml of water for each sachet used. If you are taking the lowest dose (1 sachet per day), it is recommended that you take the product in the morning. For higher doses, split the intake between the morning and evening. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of taking the product, you should consult a doctor. The product takes effect within 24–72 hours.
Warnings: We recommend consulting a doctor before using this product on children. Children must use the product under the direct supervision of an adult. Consult your doctor before using the product during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding. Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the packaging. Do not use the product if the packaging or sachets are open or damaged. This product may shorten the transit time through the gastrointestinal tract and thereby reduce the absorption of medication taken orally. It is therefore recommended that you consult your doctor if you are taking WAYA Lax® and medication at the same time. In any case, take your medication at least two hours apart from this product. This product may cause interactions if taken together with starch-based thickening agents. The ingredient macrogol counteracts the thickening effect of starch and may thin out preparations that would otherwise need to remain thick for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). If you notice any side effects, you should stop taking the product and consult your doctor.

Ingredients

One 20 ml sachet contains: 10 g macrogol 4000. Excipients: purified water, citric acid, citrus flavouring, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sucralose.
