Product information "Vitaworld Cordyceps Extract CS4 500 mg 40% Polysaccharides Capsules"
Vitaworld Cordyceps Extract CS4 500 mg 40% Polysaccharides Capsules are a food supplement containing 400 mg polysaccharides and 1000 mg Cordyceps sinensis mycelium extract per daily dose.
Ophiocordyceps sinensis, or Cordyceps for short, is a special mushroom in many respects. The fungus, which is native to the Tibetan highlands, is a parasitic tubular fungus that grows on and in the caterpillars of a special species of moth. As the wild form of Cordyceps is very rare and therefore also very expensive, it is sometimes referred to as "the imperial mushroom". Due to the drastic increase in demand, which can no longer be met by wild collections, the mushroom mycelium used for our product is now cultivated in a special culture medium solution consisting of a plant-based growing medium. According to scientific studies, this retains the same ingredients as the wild form, meaning that all pharmacological properties can also be found in the cultivated form. According to tradition, the effect of the mushroom was first recognised by the shepherds in Tibet's high mountains, who observed an improvement in the resistance of their yaks and sheep that ate the mushrooms in winter.
For our Cordyceps extract, the soluble parts of the mushroom powder are dissolved and then evaporated, leaving a concentrate that contains the therapeutically important secondary ingredients in the best possible availability. This premium Cordyceps extract variant has a particularly high polysaccharide content of 40%.
