Vitaworld Chaga mushroom extract 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement with Chaga fruit body extract 4:1 (Inonotus obliquus).

The distribution area of Inonotus obliquus extends mainly over the forested areas of the northern hemisphere. It favours humid areas (along swamps, ditches, lakes and streams) with large birch stands, but also sunlit forest edges. The largest populations are found in Scandinavia, Siberia, Japan and Canada. There are also known populations in the larger forests of Eastern Europe and Russia. Efforts to cultivate the mushroom in an artificial environment have so far been rather unsuccessful, as the human-grown version does not contain the full range of ingredients. Chaga has been used in Siberia and Ukraine for several centuries.

While the mushroom was traditionally processed into a fine powder and then infused with hot water, today the naturopathic sector mainly offers chaga extract, which has a high concentration of bioactive components. Experienced naturopaths utilise its cell-protecting potential, among other things. From the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine, chaga is regarded as a powerful tonic with a connection to the functional circuits of the spleen, stomach and liver.
