Vitaworld Boswellia Frankincense 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement with plant extracts and vitamins B1, B2 and B6.

The species of Boswellia known as frankincense is known to most people only as incense, but it has also been used as a phytotherapeutic agent for many centuries. A sticky, milky liquid is released through cuts in the trunk and branches of the Salaibaum (Boswellia serrata). Frankincense resin is produced by drying in the air.

The essential oils contained in the plant have a relaxing and antispasmodic effect and are considered to be disinfectant. Frankincense is traditionally used in a wide variety of cultures. Frankincense extract also contains important vitamins: Vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and vitamin B6, which among other things contribute to normal energy metabolism and normal functioning of the nervous system. As with many herbal remedies, the effectiveness is not always clinically proven. Dr Hermann Philipp Theodor Ammon was a pioneer in the rediscovery and appreciation of the medicinal use of Boswellia species. Numerous studies were therefore carried out at the University of Tübingen.

How to use
Take 1 capsule daily with sufficient liquid. Preferably with a meal.

Ingredients
  • Ingredients: Frankincense extract (Boswellia serrata, contains 65 % boswellic acids), coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetable capsule shell), anti-caking agent: calcium carbonate, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2).
  • Composition per daily dose (1 capsule) %NRV*: Frankincense extract 500 mg of which boswellic acids 325 mg, vitamin B1 1.5 mg 136 %, vitamin B2 1.4 mg 100 %, vitamin B6 1.7 mg 121 % * Recommended daily intake according to NRV = nutrient reference value for daily intake according to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011.
