Vitaworld Betaglucan 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement with beta-glucan, vitamin C and zinc to support the normal function of the immune system.

The plant fibre beta-glucan (ß-glucan) is said to have numerous positive effects on health: Studies prove the positive effect of ß-glucan on blood lipid levels and the immune system and show, among other things, that regular beta-glucan consumption helps to minimise the rise in blood sugar levels after meals. It can also help to maintain a normal blood cholesterol level.

Beta-glucan is primarily found in cellulose, i.e. in plants such as oats and barley, as well as in algae, fungi, yeast and some bacteria. In addition to beta-glucans, Betaglucan 500 also contains vitamin C and zinc. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation, which is required for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, gums, skin and teeth as well as for the immune and nervous system and energy metabolism.

The essential trace element zinc also has numerous important functions in the body: it plays an important role in the human sugar, fat and protein metabolism, is a component of a large number of enzymes and is required for the formation of genetic material as well as for cell growth. Zinc is therefore just as essential for the growth and maintenance of bones, hair, skin and nails as it is for the normal functioning of the immune system.
