- Verrusan wart tincture consists of an alcoholic plant extract from the Western arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis L.). The fresh leaves and young twig tips of Thuja occidentalis are used to make the tincture. These are rich in essential oils such as monoterpenes with its main component thujone.
- Traditionally, the effect of Thuja occidentalis has been of great importance in the treatment of warts. Numerous recent studies have demonstrated the immunostimulant and antiviral effects of Thuja occidentalis.
Dosage form
Directions for use
- Common warts on the palm of the hand and soles of the feet, senile warts: Apply locally to the warts twice a day with a brush.
- Genital warts: Apply twice daily to the genital warts with a cotton bud. The cotton bud may only be used once!
- Method of application: For application to the skin. Before treatment, carefully clean the affected areas of the body with soap and water and then dry them. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after treatment.
- Duration of use: The duration of use is limited to 2 weeks. If you do not feel better or even worse after 14 days, consult your doctor.
- Use in children: Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to lack of data
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: Thuja occidentalis tincture. 10 ml contains: 10 ml tincture from the fresh, leafy branches of the occidental arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis L., herba), drug-extract ratio (DEV) 1:1-2, extractant ethanol 90% V/V.
- The other ingredients are: purified water, ethanol 96% V/V Total ethanol content: approx. 63% V/V.
