Vectra® 3D solution to be dripped onto the skin for dogs from 10 - 25 kg is a veterinary medicinal product for the treatment of dogs against infestation with fleas, ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes and biting flies.
Indications
- Fleas: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis). The treatment protects against flea infestations for one month and prevents the reproduction of fleas for a period of two months after application by inhibiting the hatching of eggs (ovicidal effect) and by inhibiting the development of adult fleas from eggs laid by adult fleas (larvicidal effect). The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of the treatment strategy against flea allergic dermatitis (FAD).
- Ticks: This veterinary medicinal product has a prolonged killing (acaricidal) and repellent effect against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus for one month and Dermacentor reticulatus for up to 3 weeks). If ticks are already present when the veterinary medicinal product is applied, not all ticks may be killed within the first 48 hours, but within one week. It is recommended to remove these ticks with a suitable instrument.
- Sand flies, mosquitoes and biting flies: The treatment has a lasting repellent (antifeeding) effect. It prevents bites from sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus), mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti) and biting flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for one month after application. The treatment also has a persistent killing (insecticidal) effect for one month after application against mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) and biting flies (Stomoxys calcitrans).

Directions for use
Dosage: The recommended minimum dose is 6.4 mg dinotefuran/kg body weight (bw), 0.6 mg pyriproxifen/kg bw and 46.6 mg permethrin/kg bw, corresponding to 0.12 ml of the veterinary medicinal product per kg bw. The following table illustrates the size of the dropper applicator that should be used according to the weight of the dog:
- For dogs from 10 - 25 kg - Colour of applicator cap: blue - Volume (ml) 3.6 - 1 applicator
Method of application:
- To be dripped onto the skin, care should be taken to apply the veterinary medicine only to undamaged skin.
Instructions for use:
Remove the applicator from the pack.
- Hold the applicator upright and place two fingers under the larger disc as shown.
- With the other hand, press the smaller disc down until the two discs meet. This will open the seal.
- The dog should be standing or in a comfortable position for easy application. Part the hair until the skin is visible. Slowly administer the veterinary medicine (as described in point 4 below) with the applicator tip placed on the skin.
- Application should follow recommendations 4a or 4b:
Recommendations:
- Gently squeeze the applicator and apply the veterinary medicine directly to the skin on the animal's back until the applicator is emptied; start between the shoulder blades, the number and sequence of applications are shown below in the drawings. Avoid superficial application on the dog's hair. The number of spots depends on the dog's body weight.
- The application is independent of the dog's body weight. Part the coat with the applicator tip at the base of the tail and begin to apply the veterinary medicine directly to the skin in a continuous line all the way from the base of the tail across the midline of the back to the shoulder blades (as shown in the illustration), pressing the applicator until it is empty.
Repeat treatments: After a single application, the veterinary product prevents parasite infestation for one month. The treatment can be repeated monthly
Ingredients
- Active ingredients: Each ml contains 54 mg dinotefuran, 4.84 mg pyriproxifen, and 397 mg permethrin.
- For dogs from 10 - 25 kg: dinotefuran 196 (mg), pyriproxifen 17.4 (mg), permethrin 1429 (mg).
- Other ingredients: 1-octylpyrrolidin-2-one, N-methylpyrrolidone.
