- Cremolum looks like a vaginal suppository, but is unique in its kind. It melts in the warmth of the vagina and, together with the vaginal fluid, forms a cream that provides lasting care for the inside of the vagina.
- Unlike Vagisan Moisturising Cream, which is applied to the vagina with an applicator, Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum is simply inserted into the vagina with a finger. Warmth and moisture transform the vaginal suppository into the moisturising cream.
- The addition of a lactic acid-calcium lactate buffer ensures that the cream that forms in the vagina has a pH value (acidity) of approx. 4.5 - Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum therefore helps to maintain a healthy vaginal environment.
Dosage form
How to use
- The vaginal suppositories are inserted into the vagina, preferably before going to bed.
- A Cremolum can be applied once a day or less frequently (e.g. 2-3 times a week). The frequency of application depends on the individual symptoms.
- The suppository takes approx. 30 minutes to melt. Please keep the appropriate distance during subsequent intimate intercourse to avoid disturbing any suppository residue in the vagina.
- It is recommended to wear a panty liner during use.
- Vagisan Moisturising Cream Cremolum can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- The suppositories are hormone-free (oestrogen-free) and can therefore also be used together with systemic hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or alternating with vaginal creams or suppositories containing hormones (oestrogen).
