Uvicur® coated tablets are a traditional herbal medicinal product to relieve the symptoms of mild recurrent lower urinary tract infections such as burning on urination and/or frequent urination after serious illnesses have been ruled out by a doctor.
The medicinal product is a traditional medicinal product registered for the indication exclusively on the basis of many years of use. This medicinal product is used in adult women aged 18 years and over. If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 days, consult your doctor.
The symptoms
The classic symptoms of acute cystitis include
- Pain and burning when urinating
- the feeling of a constant urge to urinate
- Cramping of the bladder muscles
Bearberry (lat: Uvae Ursi) is an evergreen dwarf shrub which, like bilberry, belongs to the heather family. It has been known as a medicinal plant since the Middle Ages and was first mentioned in English herbal books as early as the 13th century.

- Adult women aged 18 and over: 2 coated tablets 3 times a day.
- Use in children and adolescents: Use in children and adolescents under the age of 18 is not recommended
- Route of administration: Oral tablets should be taken with a sufficient amount of liquid.
- Duration of use: Uvicur must not be taken for longer than 1 week. If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 days, consult your doctor
Ingredients
- What Uvicur contains - The active substance is: One coated tablet contains 265 mg dry extract of bearberry leaves (Uvae ursi folium), corresponding to 62.3 - 77.7 mg hydroquinone derivatives, calculated as anhydrous arbutin (spectrophotometry); drug-extract ratio (DEV) 3.5 - 5.5 : 1; extractant: ethanol 60% (V/V).
- The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, silicon dioxide highly dispersed anhydrous, magnesium stearate, macrogol, titanium dioxide (E171), O-varnish green (aluminium hydroxide-based varnish from a mixture of quinoline yellow (E104) and indigotine (E132)), long-chain partial glycerides.
