Tussastopp oral solution, 125 ML

Tussastopp oral solution is a fast-acting and effective cough suppressant. The active ingredient dextromethorphan in Tussastopp inhibits the urge to cough by inhibiting the cough reflex in the brainstem.

Indications

• For the treatment of irritating coughs and spasmodic coughs with various causes, e.g. colds, flu-like infections and smoker's cough.

Self-treatment with Tussastopp should not last longer than 3 - 5 days. If the cough has not disappeared after a treatment period of 3 - 5 days or has not decreased significantly or has even worsened or if complications occur, consult your doctor.

Directions for use

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 10 - 15 mg every 4 to 6 hours (1 -1½ measuring spoons of 5ml). The maximum daily dose is 60 mg. It should not be taken more than 4 times a day.
• Children under 12 years of age: The medicine isnot suitable for these patients due to the amount of active substance contained in one dose.
• Method of administration: To take the solution, use the enclosed measuring spoon by filling itwith solution up to therespective mark.Rinse the measuring spoon after use.
• Duration of use: Self-treatment with Tussastopp should not last longer than 3 - 5 days. Evenif prescribed by a doctor, treatment with Tussastopp should not last longer than 2 - 3 weeks.
• Note for diabetics: This medicine has a low sugar content.
  

Ingredients

• The active substance is dextromethorphan.5 ml solution contains 10 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
• The other ingredients are:sodium benzoate, anhydrous citric acid, maltitol solution, saccharin sodium, propylene glycol, strawberry flavouring, Contramarum flavouring, purified water.
