Dosage form
How to use
- Do not open the airtight packaging of the heat pack until immediately before use.
- Do not cut into the heat wrap.
- Remove the protective film from the heat plaster to expose the adhesive surface.
- Place on the painful area with the adhesive side against the skin.
- See the "Instructions for use" section for information on where ThermaCare® should not be applied.
- It can take up to 30 minutes for ThermaCare® to reach its therapeutic temperature
- Remove the product after 8 hours.
- Never heat the heat pad in the oven, microwave or in any other way - there is a risk of fire!
- For people under 55 years of age, it is possible to wear the heat wrap at night: it has been clinically proven that after using ThermaCare® during the night, pain on waking is significantly reduced and flexibility is significantly improved. From the age of 55, the risk of burns increases. If you are 55 years or older, wear ThermaCare® over thin clothing and not while sleeping.
- Consult your doctor before use if you have diabetes, poor circulation, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis or are pregnant.
- Discontinue use and consult a doctor if you experience discomfort, burning, swelling, rash or other skin changes that persist at the site where the bandage is worn; if your pain worsens or remains unchanged after 7 days.
- This product may cause burns/blisters. Check the skin regularly during use. If you notice irritation or burns, remove the product immediately.
- For users who are unable to care for themselves or for users aged 12 to 18 years: Supervision by a carer is required. 55 years or older: Your risk of burns increases with age. If you are 55 years or older, wear ThermaCare® over thin clothing and not while sleeping. Consult your doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease or rheumatoid arthritis, or if you are pregnant.
- Discontinue use and consult a doctor if you experience discomfort, burning, swelling, rashes or persistent changes in your skin in the area of application, and if your pain lasts longer than 7 days or worsens.
- If swallowed, please seek professional help immediately.
- In case of skin or eye contact, remove the heat pack, rinse the affected area with water and seek professional help immediately.
- If the heat wrap is damaged or torn during use, remove it.
- If the contents of the heating cell leak and/or the packaging is damaged or torn
- together with topical preparations
- On damaged, open or injured skin
- On areas with bruising or swelling that has occurred in the last 48 hours
- For people who are unable to follow all instructions for use or do not remove the product
- With other forms of heat
- Under the age of 12
