The Nutri Store Iron Plus Vitamin C capsules are a food supplement with 10 mg iron (2-valent iron Fe2+) combined with 60 mg natural vitamin C from the acerola cherry per capsule.

The human organism is dependent on a regular supply of minerals. Iron is particularly important for an efficient body, as it is a component of haemoglobin, which gives the red blood cells (erythrocytes) their colour and transports the inhaled oxygen from the lungs via the bloodstream to all body cells.

Among other things, iron contributes

to the formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin
to a normal energy metabolism
to the normal function of the immune system
to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue

Endurance and competitive athletes need iron for normal, sufficient oxygen transport in the body. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron and helps to protect the cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C also contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
