Supaeye® is a combination of maqui berry extract (Ma quiBright® ), algae oil extract (DHA), vitamin B2 and vitamin B3 as well as biotin .

Almost one in five people suffer from wetting disorders of the surface of the eye, known as "dry eye", which occurs when the eyes do not produceenough tear fluid.

There are many causes of dryness of the eyes and mucous membranes, such as various environmental influences. Air conditioning and overheated rooms remove moisture from the eyes and mucous membranes. Dry eyes and mucous membranes can also be caused by intensive use of screens and wearing contact lenses . Regularly moisturising the mucous membranes protects them from drying out. Vitamins B2, B3 and biotin (B7) contribute to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.

B vitamins

Vitamin B2 and biotin are present in Supaeye® in their biologically active form and are precisely harmonised with the vitamin B3 they contain. The direct supplementation of B vitamins in their co-enzymatic form ensures greater biological availability and better absorption into the body's cells .

The functions of vitamins B2, B3 and biotin (B7) in the body:

Vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and normal vision.
Vitamin B3 contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.
Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.

Algae oil

The valuable omega-3 fatty acids DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) contained in Supaeye® are obtainedfrom the oil of a special microalgae (Schizochytrium sp.).

The function of DHA in the body:

The algae oil extract contained in Supaeye® has a particularly high dosage of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) , which, as one of the polyunsaturated essential fatty acids, contributesto the maintenance of normal vision*.

The algae oil option used in Supaeye® also offers a great alternative for vegetarians and vegans who do not eat fish. It is also the preferred option for allergy sufferers as the algae oil contains no allergenic fish proteins. Omega-3 fatty acids are important components of the visual and sensory cells and are also responsible forthe formation of the stabilising fatty layer of the tear film. If this outer phase of the moisturising filmis disturbed, the typical symptoms of dry eyes occur, such as redness, itching or burning. They also reduce the rate of tear evaporation.

Maqui berry

The maqui berry (Aristotelia chilensis) isnative exclusively to the wild forests of Patagonia in Chile and Argentina .It is characterised by its high content of a particularly effective group of flavonoids , anthocyanins. Thanks to its standardisation , the maqui berry extract contained in Supaeye®- MaquiBright® - always containsat least 25 % delphinidin and at least 35 % total anthocyanins. A clinical study has demonstrated the proven bioavailability of these key active ingredients in MaquiBright® . After four weeks of taking MaquiBright® , tear fluid production increased by 89%.

* The essential fatty acid DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision with a daily intake of 250mg.

Directions

Adults take one Supaeye® Algae Oil capsule (labelled green) and one Supaeye® Maqui Berry capsule (labelled purple) daily , unchewed, with plenty of liquid, regardless of meals.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet, which is important together with a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of the reach of small children. Store in a dry place and not above 25 °C.
