Sterillium Gel is suitable for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. Thanks to its formulation with 85% ethanol, Sterillium Gel is a comprehensive and fast-acting alternative to liquid hand disinfectants, especially for hygienic hand disinfection. It dries quickly and leaves a smooth feeling on the hands - and no sticky residue. Sterillium Gel is used as a ready-to-use alcohol-based rub-in preparation - independent of water and washbasins - in all hygiene-relevant areas of healthcare, industry, in home dialysis and when travelling to prevent infections.

How to use
  • Hygienic hand disinfection: Rub at least 3 - 5 ml undiluted into dry hands, covering all areas of the skin. Pay particular attention to fingertips and thumbs. Keep hands moist for the entire exposure time of 30 seconds.
  • Surgical hand disinfection: Carefully rub the product into dry hands and forearms up to the elbows. Treat hands specifically. Pay particular attention to the fingertips, palms and especially the thumb areas. The hands and lower arms must be kept moist for the entire exposure time of 1.5 minutes.
  • Spectrum of activity: Bactericidal, levurocidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal, mycobactericidal, limited virucidal (incl. HBV, HIV, HCV), limited virucidal PLUS, virucidal.
  • Advice: Always read the label and product information before use.
  • Advice on safe handling: Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Keep container tightly closed. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if possible. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Seek medical advice/attention. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTRE/doctor. Dispose of contents/ container to a recognised waste disposal plant.
  • Danger: Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes severe eye irritation. Reactivity: No decomposition if stored and used as directed. The product is chemically stable. Hazardous reactions: Normally none expected. Substances to avoid: None, Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks. Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight.
