High bioavailability thanks to Metafolin®

Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy and to normal blood and cell formation. It supports the normal function of the immune system and can even reduce tiredness. As vitamin B₉, it is one of the B vitamins that together ensure that the psyche and mind work together harmoniously. The combination with vitamins B₆ and B₃ is particularly important - if you have too little of these, you cannot produce as much serotonin.

Our Solgar® Folate contains Metafolin®, the already activated form 5-MTHF, which also occurs naturally and is directly bioavailable. In addition, folate supplementation significantly reduces the risk of foetal malformations (so-called neural tube defects). To achieve the positive effect, 400 µg of folic acid should be taken daily in addition to a healthy and balanced diet over a period of at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
