The SinoPlaSan Curcuma Mono capsules are a food supplement with a 95% curcumin content. This means that each capsule contains 475 mg of curcuma and 451.25 mg of curcumin.

Curcuma (curcuma longa), also known as yellow ginger, turmeric or curcuma, belongs to the ginger family. The spice is mainly cultivated in the tropical regions of South Asia and has been revered as a sacred plant in many cultures for more than 5000 years. Turmeric gets its ochre-yellow colour from the "curcumin" it contains. Today it is used in more versatile ways than almost any other product.

We do NOT use piperine (black pepper extract) to improve absorption. Why? Piperine is supposed to increase the absorption capacity of curcuma due to its pungency. However, this happens when piperine irritates the gastric mucosa. This irritation increases blood flow and, in theory, active ingredients can be better absorbed. However, this can lead to undesirable and even dangerous side effects or interactions. Piperine should not be taken by pregnant women, but is also harmful to the health of any other user in higher quantities. This is because piperine not only enhances the curcuma or its absorption, but also all other active ingredients or medications that are taken in an uncontrolled manner.

We therefore do not use any additives in our curcuma product. We use a patented branded raw material with the highest absorption rate on the market and a 95% curcuminoid content.
