Cordyceps (Ophiocordyceps sinensis), known as the caterpillar fungus, was already held in high esteem in the 15th century and was therefore particularly expensive. Tibetan yak herders observed that their cattle showed exceptional performance and resistance after eating this mushroom.

Cordyceps originally comes from the Tibetan highlands at altitudes of 3,000 to 5,000 metres - but today it can also be cultivated. As a parasite, the fungus attacks the larvae of rootworms (Hepialus spp.) and occasionally also uses ants to spread its spores.

Cordyceps is valued in traditional Chinese dietetics because it is considered to support Qi and Yang and is also said to contain ingredients with adaptogenic properties.

The exclusive formula uses only certified organic mushroom extract. This mushroom extract offers a standardised concentration of valuable vital substances: 30% polysaccharides and 20% beta-glucans.

Cordyceps is perfectly rounded off with vitamin C. It proves to be a useful contribution to reducing tiredness and fatigue as well as to normal energy metabolism - for greater well-being and noticeable vitality. In addition, vitamin C supports the normal function of the nervous and immune systems and contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

The vitamin C comes from organically grown amla berries. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica), is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C with a high natural content of vitamin C, polyphenols, flavonoids and antioxidants. Our organic amla extract is standardised to 50% vitamin C and, according to the latest research, is particularly characterised by its sustained bioavailability and good tolerability - it is a suitable source of vitamin C for people with a sensitive stomach or histamine sensitivity.
