SABE sana Curcumin Liquid Capsules are a dietary supplement containing a liquid NovaSOL® curcumin core. NovaSOL® curcumin has a very high purity of 95 per cent and excellent bioavailability; it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and is very well tolerated.

Extensive research has been conducted for years into the traditional Ayurvedic medicinal plant turmeric and, in particular, its phytochemical curcumin. In Western naturopathy, turmeric is primarily known as a medicinal plant that stimulates bile flow and aids digestion. It is a highly effective natural remedy, particularly for improving digestion and detoxifying the body. However, turmeric is also beneficial for high cholesterol levels, diabetes, liver and gallbladder problems, as well as for fatigue and inflammation. 

Turmeric, also known as yellow root, originates from South-East Asia and has long been an important medicinal plant in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda. The yellow pigment curcumin aids digestion and has antioxidant properties. The substance is also said to have anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and neuroprotective effects. Liquid curcumin (micellar curcumin) is absorbed many times more effectively by the digestive tract than curcumin in powder form. 

Why liquid curcumin?

Ordinary curcumin powder (hydrophobic) is only absorbed to a limited extent from the gastrointestinal tract. To increase bioavailability, an extract of black pepper is often added to curcumin products. Whilst the piperine it contains enhances the absorption of curcumin, it can lead to intolerance due to irritation of the digestive tract’s mucous membranes.  

Optimal solution: Converting curcumin into a hydrophilic and pH-stable form using the innovative NovaSOL® micelle strategy, in line with the principle of fat emulsification in the digestive tract. The micelles, which are water-soluble on the outside, pass unhindered through the aqueous phase of the intestine to the intestinal mucosa, where they are absorbed.
