Rhinoperd nasal drops are a medicine for the supportive treatment of rhinitis, hay fever, inflammation of the frontal and maxillary sinuses and the throat. They contain naphazoline, a vasoconstrictor substance that causes the nasal mucosa to decongest. At the same time, the formation of new nasal secretions is inhibited. The effect of Rhinoperd nasal drops sets in after a few minutes and lasts for 4 - 6 hours.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.
Indications
- Acute rhinitis
- Acute symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis ("hay fever")
- Acute symptoms of chronic rhinitis

Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 2 - 4 times daily 3 - 4 drops in each nostril. For diagnostic purposes: 4 drops of Rhinoperd nasal drops in each nostril or insert soaked cotton tampons for 1-2 minutes.
- Children from 6 - 12 years: 1 - 3 times daily 2 - 3 drops in each nostril. The use of Rhinoperd nasal drops is not recommended for children from 2 to 6 years. If use is necessary, Rhinoperd Nasal Drops should only be given to children from 2 to 6 years of age on a doctor's prescription. Rhinoperd Nasal Drops should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
- Method of application: For dripping into the nose (for nasal application). After thoroughly cleaning the nose (blowing the nose), tilt the head back and instil the drops into each nostril, holding the other nostril closed with a finger and inhaling briefly with the mouth closed.
- Duration of use: In most cases, treatment with Rhinoperd nasal drops for up to 5 days is sufficient; treatment with Rhinoperd nasal drops should not last longer than 7 days, and no longer than 5 days in children. A break of at least 10 days should be observed before a new treatment. If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor. Rhinoperd nasal drops are not suitable for continuous treatment, as this can lead to chronic swelling (and thus a blocked nose again) and eventually to atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
