Protifar High-Protein Powder is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). For dietary management in patients to compensate for a negative protein balance or as an additional source of protein.

Indications

For dietary management in patients:

• to compensate for a negative protein balance, e.g. in cases of burns, infections or pressure ulcers
• as an additional source of protein, e.g. during convalescence, in geriatric care, and in coeliac disease

Usage

• Recommended as a dietary supplement; the dosage depends on protein requirements. Wash your hands, use clean utensils and ensure that the top of the packet is clean. Mix the required amount of Protifar with sufficient cold liquid to form a smooth paste. Stir into food or drink. Prepare the meal in single portions and consume within 2 hours. Always discard any leftovers. After opening, reseal the packet and store in a cool, dry place (not in the fridge). Use within one month.
• Notes: Protifar is not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Use with particular caution in children aged 3–6 years. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
