Cobalaplex Sprinkle Capsules are a feed supplement for dogs and cats containing vitamin B12 and folic acid. These vitamins are important for the health of the digestive tract and metabolism.
Oral cobalamin (vitamin B12) for dogs and cats to support the digestive tract.
Cobalaplex contains:
- Cobalamin (vitamin B12): Cobalamin is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in many physiological processes, including cell metabolism, DNA synthesis, amino acid metabolism, fatty acid metabolism and erythrocyte formation.
- Folic acid (vitamin B9): Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate, another important water-soluble B vitamin that is essential for DNA synthesis and repair and thus plays a key role in cell division and growth. As a result, proliferating cells such as erythrocytes, leucocytes and enterocytes have a high requirement for folic acid.
- Preplex® Prebiotics: A prebiotic combination of fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) and acacia (gum arabic) that contributes to the support of a healthy gastrointestinal microbiota and thus to the maintenance of optimal serum folate and cobalamin levels.

How to use
The capsules can be given whole or they can be opened and the contents distributed over the feed. The number of capsules fed can be adjusted to the individual requirement or depends on the achievement of a normal serum level of cobalamin (vitamin B12):
- Weight: < 10 kg: ½ capsule daily or 1 capsule every other day.
- Weight: 10-20 kg: 1 capsule daily.
- Weight: > 20 kg: 2 capsules daily.
Ingredients
- Composition: Preplex® prebiotic (fructooligosaccharides FOS, gum arabic).
- Analytical constituents: crude protein 4.7%; crude ash 2.7%; crude fibre 0.1%; crude fat 0.36%.
- Nutritional additives: Cyanocobalamin (PXN-B12® ) 0.5 mg per capsule, folic acid 0.2 mg per capsule.
