The essential oil "Siberian spruce needles" is distilled from branches of the Siberian fir tree (botanical name: Abies sibirica). The oil is known in our language as "spruce needle oil". The fragrance is woody-sweet, a typical fresh forest scent. Siberian fir has a high proportion of monoterpene esters, which gives it a strong anxiolytic, relaxing effect. This essential oil is therefore ideal for stress and mental imbalance. The twigs and needles used for distillation are primarily harvested in spring and autumn, as the essential oil content is particularly high at this time.
