Lavender fine, also known as true lavender, is an aromatic herb that is native to the entire Mediterranean region. Lavender grows up to 1 metre high and the whole plant is highly aromatic. Lavender contains a spectrum of over 100 ingredients and is considered the "oil of the centre". It is used in naturopathy for skin problems, insomnia, tension, muscular, digestive and respiratory complaints. It is used in gourmet cuisine to delicately flavour dishes and desserts and is a valued raw material in perfumery.
