Passedan® drops contain an extract of passion flower, which has been known for centuries for its sleep-promoting effect. Orange peel and cinnamon bark are also added to enhance the flavour.

The passion flower

The passionflower genus originally comes from eastern and southern North America and comprises around 500 species. As a favourite collector's item for botanists, the plant spread to Europe in the 19th century. The passion flower used today for medicinal purposes is Passiflora incarnata. In the middle of the 20th century, Europeans also discovered its calming effect.

How to use

For nervous restlessness:

• Adults: Take 20 drops 3 to 5 times a day. (On the recommendation of a doctor, the dosage can be increased up to three times).
• Adolescents aged 12 and over: take 20 drops 3 times a day.

For problems falling asleep:

• Adults: take 20 drops after dinner and 30 drops before going to bed.
• Adolescents aged 12 and over: take 20 drops after dinner and 20 drops before going to bed.

Use in children: As there is insufficient data available, use in children under 12 years of age cannot be recommended.

Method of administration: The drops are taken undiluted or diluted with a little water (approx. 50 ml).

Ingredients

• The active ingredient is passionflower herb. 100 g contain 50 g of a liquid extract of passion flower herb (Passiflorae herba), (extractant: ethanol 54% by weight, glycerine 4% by weight DEV 1:3.8-4.3)
• The other ingredients are: Glycerine, ethanol, saccharin sodium, orange peel, cinnamon bark, lemon balm leaves, purified water
• 1 ml = 0.9 g, 0.83 ml = 0.77 g corresponds to approx. 20 drops, alcohol content: approx. 50% ethanol by weight
