- Highly adapted microorganisms, known as extremophiles, defy the arid conditions. This is down to the natural substance ectoine.
- This small protective molecule shields these extremophiles from, for example, temperature fluctuations, high salt concentrations, intense UV radiation or dehydration.
- Ectoin forms a layer of water on the mucous membranes, known as the ectoin-hydro complex. This protects the mucous membranes and prevents them from drying out.
- PARI ProtECT® Inhalation Solution protects against dehydration and moisturises the mucous membranes of the airways when they are exposed, for example, to fine dust, pollen, dirt or dry air in heated or air-conditioned rooms.
- PARI ProtECT® Inhalation Solution can be used as an adjunctive treatment to reduce inflammation in respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, allergic asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Directions for use
- Always use PARI ProtECT® Inhalation Solution in accordance with these instructions for use, or consult your doctor or pharmacist before use. Unless otherwise prescribed by your healthcare professional, inhale 1 ampoule (2.5 ml) up to twice daily as required, using a nebuliser. When used as intended, PARI ProtECT® Inhalation Solution can be used by patients of any age.
- Method of administration: Inhalation using jet nebulisers (e.g. PARI inhalation devices), ultrasonic nebulisers or membrane nebulisers (e.g. Velox/Velox Junior). Follow the instructions for use of the respective nebuliser.
