MucoClear Protect inhalation solution is used for inflammatory respiratory diseases. The hypertonic saline solution loosens the mucus in the lungs and makes it easier to cough up. The ectoine it contains reduces inflammation and the mucous membranes can regenerate. The ectoine forms an ectoine hydrocomplex on the mucous membrane, which protects and moisturises the airways.

What is Ectoin?

Salt lakes and deserts are among the most hostile regions on earth. Nevertheless, life has been possible under these extreme conditions for millions of years.

Highly adapted microorganisms, so-called extremophiles, can withstand extreme environmental conditions. Ectoine is responsible for this.
This small protective molecule protects the extremophiles from temperature fluctuations, high salt concentrations, strong UV radiation or dehydration, for example.
During application, ectoine forms the so-called ectoine hydrocomplex, which acts like a protective shield on the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract. Inflammation is inhibited and the regeneration process is supported.

Areas of application

MucoClear Protect® in inhalation therapy alleviates the symptoms of patients with bronchiolitis, acute bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, asthma (allergic and non-allergic), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and allergic reactions of the respiratory tract caused by inhaling allergens such as dust or pollen.

How to use

MucoClear Protect® can be used with any nebuliser. Follow the instructions for use provided by the device manufacturer.
Inhalation therapy with MucoClear Protect® is usually used with a dosage of 5 ml (one ampoule). Use MucoClear Protect® after consulting your healthcare professional.
