- For the care and cleaning of the external auditory canal, to relieve itching due to dryness and for the preventive and adjuvant treatment of inflammation in case of skin irritation in the external auditory canal, e.g. due to improper ear cleaning or in connection with wearing hearing aids. Can be used for prophylaxis and care after various water sports (e.g. diving, swimming).
- Cerumen (earwax) moisturises the ear canal and protects the acid mantle of the skin. It also protects against infections and transports deposits of dirt, dust and dead skin cells outwards to the outer ear. As a result, the ear cleans itself so that careful cleaning at the end of the ear canal at the pinna is usually sufficient.
- Hardened earwax, excessive wax build-up or malfunctions of the self-cleaning mechanism can lead to blockage of the ear canal (e.g. due to earwax plugs). This in turn can cause earache and hearing loss. Otocura® can soften the earwax and thus promote normal self-cleaning. Otherwise, soften the earwax blockage with Otocura® a few days before the visit to the doctor so that professional cleaning (e.g. ear irrigation) can be carried out more easily.
- If the earache persists over a longer period of time and/or is accompanied by other symptoms (e.g. fever, dizziness), please consult your doctor.
Dosage form
How to use
- For care and cleaning: Apply 1 - 2 sprays to the outer ear canal 1 - 2 times a week. If necessary (e.g. itching due to dryness), Otocura® can also be used more frequently without any problems.
- For prophylaxis: Apply 1 - 2 sprays to the external auditory canal before and, if necessary, after water sports (swimming, diving, etc.).
