BADER's PROTECT ginger functional chewing gum contains pure ginger extract. Ginger is considered the root of all good things. The beneficial and diverse properties of ginger root (Rhizoma zingiberis) can hardly be summarised more aptly. Ginger is a tropical spice plant that is also used as a medicine.

It can relieve nausea, indigestion and pain. The active ingredients are found in the rootstock, the rhizome. This contains essential oil, which includes the substances zingiberene, curcumen and beta-eudesmol. The ginger root also contains pungent substances that give the tuber its typical flavour. These include gingerols and shogaols. Gingerol gives ginger its pungent flavour.
