Who is OMNi-BiOTiC SKiN® Intensive Skin Bath designed for?

Our skin is a very large and complex organ: every square centimetre is home to up to a million bacteria, fungi and mites. Together, these beneficial microorganisms form our skin microbiome and are extremely important for our skin’s barrier function and immune system.

Various skin conditions, such as atopic dermatitis, are often associated with a change in the skin microbiome, whereby the natural diversity of microorganisms on the skin is disrupted. This makes it easier for harmful skin bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, to spread. This can lead to a further exacerbation of the symptoms of atopic dermatitis, such as dry skin and severe itching.

OMNi-BiOTiC SKiN® Intensive Skin Bath can counteract this and, by specifically improving the skin microbiome, noticeably improve the stressed condition of the skin.

Why does OMNi-BiOTiC SKiN® Intensive Skin Bath work?

In atopic dermatitis, the diversity of beneficial organisms in our skin microbiome is reduced – there is an imbalance (= dysbiosis). This change makes it easier for pathogens to spread. Staphylococcus aureus, amongst others, plays a major role in the progression of atopic dermatitis, as it acts as a trigger for inflammation and can significantly worsen the condition of the skin.

OMNi-BiOTiC SKiN® Intensive Skin Bath contains the patented bacterial complex Baplexin® 621 – a unique combination of 9 active, specially selected and scientifically researched probiotic bacterial strains.

These active probiotic skin inhabitants naturally supplement the skin microbiome, gently displacing pathogens and thus restoring its balance – the skin is actively nourished and the skin barrier is able to regenerate. After just a few days, the appearance of the skin improves and itching is significantly relieved.

OMNi-BiOTiC SKiN® Intensive Skin Bath contains only purely natural ingredients and is free from fragrances and preservatives, making it particularly suitable for very stressed and irritated skin. When used specifically as a partial bath or as a compress, the active probiotic bacteria support the skin exactly where it needs help.

Directions for use

• During the acute phase: treat the affected areas of skin with a partial bath once a day for 10 minutes over a period of 14 days. To do this, stir 2.5 g (= 1 measuring spoon) of powder into one litre of water. A full bath is also possible for young children.
• Suitable for people with sensitive skin or skin prone to atopic dermatitis, from infancy right through to old age.
  
• For basic care: If required, treat the affected areas of skin with a partial bath once or twice a week for 10 minutes. To do this, stir in 2.5 g (= 1 measuring spoon) of powder per litre of water. A full bath is also possible for young children.
• If the area of skin is not suitable for a partial bath, you can soak a clean cloth, a soft flannel or a small towel in the solution and apply it to the affected area.
• After application: Allow the skin to air-dry and do not rinse off the solution. 20 to 30 minutes after application, you can apply a cortisone-free skincare cream, such as OMNi-BiOTiC SKiN® Intensive Care Ointment, to the affected areas. We recommend waiting at least 8 hours before showering, as otherwise the beneficial bacteria from the skin bath will be washed away and will not be able to colonise the skin.
• Important note: Can also be used as part of a treatment programme and combined with all standard topical anti-inflammatory treatments. Open the lid carefully to ensure the powder does not get into your eyes or scatter uncontrollably.
