- Colonoscopy, better known as a colonoscopy, is now recommended to all people over the age of 50 as a preventive examination to detect any changes in (large) intestinal tissue. In order to really have a clear view of the bowel, appropriate preparation is required, including a thorough bowel cleansing. This is because the condition of the bowel can only be reliably assessed when it is empty.
- For this purpose, a laxative (lavage) is taken with sufficient liquid to completely empty and thoroughly flush the bowel. However, colon cleansing temporarily leads to a considerable change in the natural intestinal flora. This is reduced to less than one-thirtieth as part of the colonoscopy preparation.
- Immediately after a colonoscopy, the intestine can be susceptible to the absorption of new foreign germs due to the reduced competitive pressure. This is noticeable in up to 80 % of people after a colonoscopy: Almost half feel flatulence, followed by diarrhoea, abdominal pain and constipation.
- However, the fact that unwanted intestinal inhabitants such as putrefactive germs and the like are also flushed out gives the intestine and its microbiome the opportunity to rid itself of old "burdens" and start afresh. Ideally with as many beneficial bacteria as possible, so that unwanted germs no longer have any room to colonise.

How to use
- Stir 1 sachet of OMNi-BiOTiC® COLONIZE (= 3 g) into approx. 1/8 litre of water twice a day, wait at least 1 minute for activation, stir again and then drink.
- It is recommended to take it on an empty stomach, e.g. in the morning before breakfast and in the evening before dinner or before going to bed. Use is recommended for at least 4 weeks.
