Discover Novalac Premium Gold 2, the ideal follow-on milk for babies after the 6th month. With a unique combination of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, it provides optimum support for your baby's growth and development during this phase.
Novalac Premium Gold 2 follow-on milk is suitable for babies from six months without digestive problems.
Novalac Premium Gold 2 follow-on milk covers the nutritional requirements of babies aged 6 to 12 months, which they need as part of a varied infant diet for healthy growth and development. It is enriched with GOS (nutrients for intestinal bacteria), Bifidobacterium lactis, nucleotides, omega-3 fatty acids (DHA) and arachidonic acid (ARA). The synergistic combination of beneficial bacteria (lactic acid culture B. lactis) and nutrients for intestinal bacteria, galactooligosaccharides (GOS), can improve digestion and quality of life and increase the level of bifidobacteria in the stool. The added omega-3 fatty acid DHA contributes to the optimal development of a baby's vision up to the age of 12 months with a daily intake of at least 100 mg. Novalac Premium Gold 2 is a source of calcium, vitamin D (for normal growth and development of the baby's bones), vitamin C, E, K1 and biotin.
The European guidelines for infant feeding after six months of age recommend continuing breastfeeding (or formula feeding if the mother is not breastfeeding) alongside the introduction of complementary foods. Until the age of 12 months, the consumption of cow's milk as a separate meal is not recommended. Cow's milk contains three times too much salt for a 6-month-old baby. Consuming cow's milk as a substitute for breastfeeding or formula after the age of six months can lead to kidney damage and high blood pressure later in life.
The decision to introduce complementary foods, including any exceptions up to six months of age, is made solely on the advice of experts in the field of medicine, pharmacy, nutrition or other experts who care for mother and child, taking into account the individual specific needs for the growth and development of the infant.
The Novalac Premium Gold product line comes in practical packaging. You can store the measuring spoon in the lid. The integrated spoon holder makes formula preparation more hygienic and cleaner. The spoon can be easily removed from the holder, allowing precise dosing.
Novalac Premium Gold 2 is part of a comprehensive product line that has been specially developed for the nutritional needs of infants. For children aged 12 months and over, we recommend switching to Novalac Premium Gold 3 or Novalac 3 milk powder for infants.

Directions for use
One level measuring spoon, which is enclosed, contains 4.5 g Novalac. Dissolve one measuring spoon in 30 ml of water. Adjust the daily amount of food and the number of meals to the age and needs of your baby. Unless your paediatrician recommends otherwise, follow the recommendations in the table.
Instructions for use:
Wash your hands thoroughly before each preparation!
- Clean the baby bottle and cap with teat and sterilise in boiling water for at least 5 minutes.
- Bring fresh water for preparing the meal to the boil in a covered pan and simmer for at least 5 minutes.
- Allow the water to cool to 40 °C and pour into the baby bottle.
- Pour the specified number of scoops into the baby bottle using the measuring spoon provided.
- Close the baby bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved.
- Allow the prepared meal to cool to 37 °C (lukewarm) or test it on the inside of your wrist until you feel it is neither warm nor cold.
Additional tip for preparing the formula: It is recommended to shake the bottle vigorously up and down immediately after adding the powder to the water and, if necessary, to swirl it until the powder is completely dissolved. It is also advisable to use a bottle that is large enough so that the contents can be shaken thoroughly. Parents can prepare the first half and then the second half as required: First add half the amount of powder to the total amount of well-heated water and shake the bottle, then add the remaining powder, close the bottle and shake again. Speed in preparation is important so that you do not wait and leave the prepared formula to stand. This can help prevent lumps and hardening.
Warnings: Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. Novalac formula should only be used on the recommendation of experts in the field of medicine, pharmacy, nutrition or other experts who care for mother and child. Special care should be taken when using Novalac formula in cases of cow's milk protein allergy, premature babies, newborns with low birth weight or weakened immune response. Improper preparation or storage can pose a health risk. When bottle-feeding, make sure that the contact between the milk and your baby's teeth is not too long or too frequent, as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Always brush your child's teeth after the last evening meal. Prepare each meal fresh. Store in a dry, cool place away from light. The product can be used at least until the expiry date (printed on the bottom of the tin). The contents of the tin must be used within three weeks of first opening. Close the can tightly after each use. Do not reuse the leftover food, but dispose of it.
