Nicorette® 2mg lozenges Icemint is a medicine used to relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce the craving for nicotine.

This medicine is used to relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings for nicotine that you experience when you try to quit smoking immediately or when you reduce the number of cigarettes smoked to try to quit smoking. The treatment is intended for adult smokers aged 18 years and over.

Nicorette 2 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers with a low nicotine dependence, e.g. smokers who either smoke their first cigarette of the day more than 30 minutes after waking up or who smoke up to 20 cigarettes a day. This medicine can help you to stop smoking completely immediately or to smoke less before you stop smoking completely. If you think you can stop smoking completely straight away, you should do so. However, if you think this is too big a step, you may want to reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke as a first step before quitting completely.

Nicorette lozenges relieve the nicotine withdrawal symptoms, including the craving to smoke, that occur when you stop smoking. When your body suddenly stops receiving nicotine from tobacco, you may experience various unpleasant sensations known as withdrawal symptoms. These include irritability, anger, depressed mood, anxiety, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, increased appetite or weight gain, cravings to smoke, night-time awakenings or sleep disturbances. The nicotine in Nicorette lozenges can help to alleviate or completely prevent these unpleasant sensations and the urge to smoke.

The NICORETTE® lozenge: In its clever box for on the go, it fits in every trouser pocket and is a good and discreet solution for anyone who wants to protect themselves from smoking cravings on the go without attracting attention. Available as 2 mg and 4 mg lozenges (80 pieces each) in the flavour Icemint. The 2 mg lozenge is intended for smokers who smoke up to 20 cigarettes a day; the 4 mg lozenge was developed for smokers who smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day.

The NICORETTE® lozenge delivers therapeutic nicotine quickly and individually via the oral mucosa, noticeably alleviating withdrawal symptoms and facilitating the cessation process.

How to use

Place a lozenge in your mouth and move it from one side of the mouth to the other from time to time until it has completely dissolved. This generally takes less than 20 minutes.
You should not eat or drink while using the lozenges, as drinks such as coffee or fruit juices can reduce the absorption of nicotine. For the same reason, you should not chew or swallow the lozenge.

Quit smoking immediately with NICORETTE® lozenges

If you want to stop smoking immediately, use 1 lozenge each time you feel the urge to smoke over a period of 6 weeks. The daily dose should be 8-12 lozenges individually distributed throughout the day, with a maximum of 15 lozenges per day. Then gradually reduce the number of tablets per day. As soon as you are only using 1-2 lozenges per day, try to stop the therapy.

Reduction method

Would you prefer to quit smoking gradually? Then simply replace individual cigarettes with the NICORETTE® lozenge with the aim of quitting smoking completely in the long term.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is nicotine. Each lozenge contains 2 mg nicotine (as nicotine resinate).
