Omega-3 fatty acids are a type of polyunsaturated fatty acid and are among the essential nutrients in our diet. Our bodies can produce small amounts of the two omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), from ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). The remainder of our EPA and DHA requirements must be met through our diet. In food, omega-3 fatty acids are found primarily in fish and fish products. For those on a diet low in fish, supplementation in the form of dietary supplements may be beneficial. The polyunsaturated fatty acids found in fish oil play a vital role in our bodies. They help maintain heart and brain function, eyesight, normal blood pressure and triglyceride levels.

Directions for use

For children aged 4 and over:

Take 2.5 ml daily with a meal.

For adults:

For heart, brain and eyesight: Take 5 ml daily with a meal. 5 ml contains 500 mg DHA and 350 mg EPA.
For normal triglyceride levels: Take 12.5 ml daily with a meal. 12.5 ml contains a total of 2.1 g DHA/EPA.
To maintain normal blood pressure: Take 20 ml daily with a meal. 20 ml contains a total of 3.4 g of DHA/EPA.

Notes: Comes with a measuring cup. Store at room temperature away from direct light. Shake well before opening. Once opened, store in the fridge and use within 6 weeks. Flocculation may occur, but this does not affect the quality of the fish oil.
