Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that is involved in countless metabolic processes. Vitamin C plays a key role in the formation of collagen, which is important for skin, bones, gums and teeth and supports the function of blood vessels. It also improves the absorption of iron in the intestine. However, the most well-known function of vitamin C is as an immune vitamin. It helps the body's immune defence against unwanted intruders and is part of our antioxidant protection system.

Ester-C® - The special vitamin C

Ester-C® is a buffered premium vitamin C with a longer retention time in the body. The patented combination of a special, non-acidic and therefore well-tolerated vitamin C compound (= calcium ascorbate) with the natural vitamin C metabolism companion "L-threonate" shows significantly higher vitamin C concentrations in white blood cells in studies 24 hours after intake compared to pure ascorbic acid.

Ester-C® combines vitamin C in the calcium ascorbate form with the natural vitamin C metabolite L-threonate. This means that vitamin C can be better absorbed and remains in the body for longer

Vitamin C is an essential factor for the normal function of the immune system. A daily intake of at least 200 mg vitamin C in addition to the recommended daily dose is important for athletes: it supports the healthy function of the immune system during and after intensive physical activity

Take 1 capsule daily with plenty of liquid with a meal.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Calcium ascorbate/L-threonate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule shell), pea fibre, citrus bioflavonoids, grape seed extract.
Composition per daily dose (1 capsule % NRV*): Ester-C® 320 mg of which vitamin C 240 mg 300 of which L-threonate 3.5 mg, bioflavonoids 36 mg -, OPC from grape seed extract (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) 16.5 mg - * % of the reference quantity according to EU Regulation 1169/2011.
