Innovative mechanism of action
Activates the physiological (natural) cleansing mechanisms of the nasal mucosa, which remove the accumulated mucus from the nose and sinuses.
- Stimulates the receptors in the nasal mucosa. The stimulus is transmitted to the trigeminal nerve endings. The function of the cilia is restored and the production of clear mucus is increased. This increased secretion enables intensive natural cleansing of the paranasal sinuses.
- Draws the fluid contained in the cells of the nasal mucosa (osmotic effect), which liquefies the secretion and facilitates its drainage. This reduces inflammation without irritating or drying out the mucous membrane.

Precautions before using Nasostop: If you are taking anticoagulants and/or anticholinergics, consult your doctor before using NASOSTOP®. The solution obtained from the mixture should only be sprayed into each nostril once a day, preferably at the same time of day, about 2 hours before going to bed. More frequent use than once a day does not result in greater efficacy and should be avoided. The spray should be used over a period of 7 to 10 days, up to 14 days if necessary. After that, 7 to 10 treatment-free days should be allowed before the product is used again. NASOSTOP® can be used in adults and children over 12 years of age. Use in children must be under the supervision of an adult. NASOSTOP® must not be used if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to cyclamen, primroses or other plants of the Primulaceae family.
Precautions when using the product: Contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 10 days or worsen after 5 days. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any side effects or unexpected effects not listed in this leaflet. Ask your pharmacist if you need more information about the product. We recommend that you do not drive or operate machinery for two hours after taking NASOSTOP®. NASOSTOP® is best used two hours before going to bed.
Important information: A few minutes after administration, you may feel a brief, temporary mild itching, a burning sensation in the nasopharynx, sneezing, lacrimation and increased nasal secretions. These are signs of a positive response to the product; although they may cause mild discomfort for a short time, they are expected reactions. A pink-coloured nasal discharge may also occur. This is normal and not a cause for concern. It is recommended to remove the product from the refrigerator two to three minutes before use to reduce the intensity of the adverse effects mentioned above, as they are partly due to cold. Return the product to the refrigerator immediately after use. Do not inhale during nebulisation as this may intensify and prolong the effects mentioned above.
