Mucobene® 600 mg dissolvable tablets are an expectorant medicine used to treat respiratory diseases. The active ingredient acetylcysteine liquefies thick mucus in the bronchial tubes, making it easier to cough up.

Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over: 1 effervescent tablet daily.
- Children and adolescents under 14 years of age: Mucobene 600 mg effervescent tablets should notbe used due to their high active ingredient content. For these patients, acetylcysteine isavailablein suitable dosage forms withalower active ingredient content.
- Method of administration: For oral use after dissolution. The effervescent tablets should be dissolved in a glass of water or fruit juice after meals andtaken.
- Notes: Always prepare a fresh solution. Do not take the soluble tablets without dissolving them first. Do not dissolve the soluble tablets together with other medicines. The expectorant effect is enhanced by drinking plenty of fluids.
- Duration of use: If your symptoms worsen or if there is no improvement after 4–5 days, you should consult a doctor.
Ingredients
The active ingredient is acetylcysteine. 1 dissolvable tablet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine.
The other ingredients are: aspartame (E 951), citric acid, adipic acid, sodium bicarbonate, povidone (K25), lemon flavouring.
