- Mepilexis intended forthetreatment of a wide range of exuding wounds including leg, foot or pressure ulcers and traumatic wounds such as skin tears or secondary healing wounds. Mepilex can be used to protect damaged and/or sensitive skin and as part of a prophylactic therapy to prevent skin damage such as pressure ulcers.

How to use
- Clean the wound according to clinical standards.
- Dry the skin surrounding the wound thoroughly.
- Select a suitable dressing size. To protect the skin surrounding the wound from maceration and to ensure a secure hold, Mepilex must cover the dry skin surrounding the wound by at least 1-2 cm (for smaller sizes up to 12.5 x 12.5 cm). For larger sizes, the dry skin surrounding the wound must be covered over 3-5 cm. If necessary, Mepilex can be cut to fit the wound size and shape.
- Remove the first protective film and place the adhesive side on the wound.
- Remove the remaining protective film and smooth the dressing onto the skin. Do not overstretch the dressing.
- If necessary, Mepilex can be fixed with a bandage or other materials.
