Mepilex XT is a dressing for the treatment of a wide range of exuding acute and chronic wounds at all stages of wound healing, including leg, foot or pressure ulcers and traumatic wounds such as skin tears or secondary healing wounds.

Dosage form
Application
- Clean the wound according to clinical standards.
- Dry the skin surrounding the wound thoroughly.
- Select a suitable dressing size. The dressing should overlap the dry, wound-surrounding skin by at least 1-2 cm for smaller wounds (up to 12.5×12.5 cm) and 3-5 cm for larger wounds. If necessary, the dressing can be cut to the appropriate wound size.
- Remove the first protective film and place the adhesive side on the wound.
- Remove the remaining protective film and smooth the dressing onto the skin. Do not overstretch the dressing.
- If necessary, the dressing can be held in place with a bandage or other fixation.
