Mepilex® Heel is an innovative foam dressing that has been specially developed for wound care on the heel. Its unique adaptability and high absorption power ensure optimum wound healing.

Mepilex® Heel is a moulded foam dressing specifically for heel wounds. Mepilex Heel minimises pain and damage to the wound or skin during dressing changes 1,2,3,4,5,6. Thanks to the high absorption power of Mepilex Heel, wound exudate is effectively absorbed 1,2,3,6,7 and the dressing conforms well to the shape of the heel 3,5,7.

Areas of application

Mepilex Heel is an absorbent wound dressing that has been specially developed for a wide range of low to moderately exuding wounds on the heel. When applied to the heel or ankle, Mepilex Heel effectively absorbs exudate, minimising the risk of maceration 8,5,2. Thanks to Safetac® technology, there is minimal risk of trauma to the wound or surrounding skin when Mepilex Heel is removed 8-5. Safetac also ensures that Mepilex Heel does not stick to the wound bed, but rests gently on the surrounding skin. Mepilex Heel can be easily fixed with Tubifast® 1,2.
