Vegetable wax in melcerin protects and cares for the skin thanks to its moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties. It contains fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6, which hydrate the skin and form a protective barrier against moisture loss. Antioxidants such as vitamin E neutralise free radicals and protect the skin from premature ageing. The wax also promotes cell regeneration, accelerates the regeneration of minor injuries, has antimicrobial properties and soothes sensitive or irritated skin. It is non-comedogenic.
