Vital substances for internal cleansing

Excretory processes play an important role in our metabolism. The intestine is an important excretory organ. Only if sufficient enzymes are produced in the saliva, stomach, pancreas and liver (production of bile) can the food components be optimally prepared for absorption into the blood. If too few enzymes are present, not only are valuable food components lost for the metabolism, but the growth of putrefactive bacteria is also favoured. Bitter substances stimulate the production of digestive enzymes.

Another rather underestimated excretory organ is the liver. On the one hand, it is directly involved in digestion, as it produces bile for the digestion of fat. On the other hand, the liver breaks down substances harmful to the body that are ingested from outside (medication, alcohol, etc.). Harmful substances produced by the body's own metabolism (ammonia) are also converted into harmless substances such as urea. The liver, like the pancreas, requires alkaline substances for its function and therefore a well-functioning acid-base balance.

In the kidneys, water-soluble harmful substances are filtered out of the blood and leave our body dissolved in urine.
