- Vitamin D: The "sun vitamin" contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and is largely synthesised in the body with the help of sunlight. However, it can also be obtained from food. Supplementation through food is particularly important during the winter months, as many people are often unable to produce enough vitamin D in their bodies due to the short days and multiple layers of winter clothing. In combination with vitamin K2, which is also contained in Lungimun capsules, the positive effect of vitamin D is enhanced.
- Selenium: A sufficient supply of selenium stimulates and regulates the immune defence. A selenium deficiency, on the other hand, can reduce the formation of antibodies and the body's own defence cells. A selenium deficiency makes us more susceptible to infections. It therefore makes sense to make sure you have a sufficient selenium intake.
- Zinc: Zinc is one of the essential trace elements, is a component of numerous enzymes and is involved in many processes in the human organism. The trace element is particularly essential for the immune system. In the human body, zinc is mainly found in bones, skin, hair, liver, muscles and kidneys. As the body cannot produce zinc itself and can hardly store it, it must be supplied regularly through food.
- Vitamin C: This vitamin is one of the most important supporters of the immune system. However, the human body cannot produce the substance itself and is therefore dependent on a dietary supply.
- Red ginseng: Ginseng has been regarded as a panacea for thousands of years, but above all it supports the immune system and makes us more resistant to harmful influences.
- Turmeric: Turmeric root contains curcumin, essential oils and terpenes. These support the health of the lungs and upper respiratory tract and can therefore support the immune system, especially during the cold season. It also has antioxidant properties.
- Ginger: Ginger root contains essential oils, resins and gingerol, which is responsible for the well-known pungency of ginger. Ginger provides a cosy warmth from the inside and supports the immune system in general and the immune activity of the lungs in particular. Ginger also helps to maintain the health of the upper respiratory tract and bronchial health and supports the maintenance of optimal secretion in the respiratory tract.
- Ashwagandha: The ancient Indian name Ashwagandha not only sounds like the Arabian Nights, the medicinal herb, which is also known as the "Queen of Ayurveda", is also known in our part of the world as the sleeping berry. However, ashwagandha not only has many names, it can also do a lot. The sleeping berry provides support for our body's own defence system and keeps our respiratory tract healthy.
