Lomexin®
2 % cream is an over-the-counter medicine for fungal skin infections with a broad spectrum of activity. It is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 3 years and over.
Indications
- Pityriasis versicolor
- Ringworm (tinea corporis)
- Infections caused by filamentous fungi (dermatophytes), yeasts and other fungi
The fungi are either inhibited in their growth or killed. If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Directions for use
- Apply a thin layer of Lomexin to the affected area once or twice a day.
- Method of use: For use on the skin. Wash the affected areas of the body carefully and dry them thoroughly. Then apply the cream. Lomexin is non-greasy, does not cause discolouration and can be easily washed off with water. During treatment, good hygiene practices – such as changing your underwear and towels daily that come into contact with the affected area – are particularly important. This will help prevent the fungal infection from spreading or recurring. Wash the used laundry at 95°C (boil wash cycle). Therefore, please use only boil-proof laundry and towels during treatment.
- Duration of use: Use Lomexin regularly until you are completely cured. If you are suffering from a foot or nail fungal infection, continue the treatment for a further one or two weeks after the infection has cleared to prevent re-infection.
Ingredients
- What Lomexin contains: The active ingredient is: fenticonazole nitrate. 1 g of cream contains 20 mg of fenticonazole nitrate.
- The other ingredients are: propylene glycol, hydrogenated lanolin (wool wax), almond oil, polyglycol esters of fatty acids, cetyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate, sodium edetate, purified water.
