- Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism, normal red blood cell formation, a reduction in tiredness and fatigue and to the normal functioning of the psyche and nervous system.
- L-carnitine is a naturally occurring substance that is produced from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It plays an essential role in the energy metabolism of human cells. L-carnitine acts as a receptor molecule for activated fatty acids in cell organelles such as the mitochondria. It fulfils this function together with coenzyme A. Long-chain fatty acids can only be transported through the mitochondrial membranes when bound to L-carnitine.
