Directions for use
Treatment with Lectranal® can be started in good time (1–2 weeks before the allergy season) and should be continued throughout the entire allergy season.
Recommended dosage for adults and young people aged 12 and over:
- Use before the start of the pollen season: 1 capsule twice daily (up to 2 weeks beforehand)
- Use during the pollen season: 2 capsules twice daily
- Maintenance treatment (long-term use): 1 capsule twice daily
- You should start taking Lectranal® in good time, up to 2 weeks before the start of the allergy season (e.g. the pollen season), and continue throughout the entire period when symptoms are present.
- Lectranal® can also be taken during periods of high pollen count. It is recommended to increase the dose to 2 capsules twice daily until improvement is noticed. The dose can then be reduced to 1 capsule twice daily.
- Lectranal® is suitable for use as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with conventional chemical anti-allergy medicines.
- Lectranal® is best taken about half an hour before or after a meal.
- Lectranal® is very well tolerated and is ideal for long-term use.
Special notes
The efficacy of Lectranal® has been demonstrated in a double-blind clinical trial. Lectranal® should be taken 7 days before the expected onset of allergy symptoms in order to reduce allergy sensitivity. However, Lectranal® can also be used for existing allergies – please note the increased daily dose in this case.

- Two Lectranal® capsules contain: 160 mg astragalus root extract (Astragalus membranaceus), 120 mg calcium, 40 mg vitamin C.
- Other ingredients: maltodextrin, calcium carbonate, Astragalus membranaceus, vitamin C, magnesium salts of fatty acids (anti-caking agent).
