KELO-COTE® scar gel is a patented, self-drying silicone gel for the prevention and treatment of bulging scars, such as hypertrophic scars and keloids.

KELO-COTE® has been proven to make scars flatter, softer and smoother. The discomfort and itching associated with scars are alleviated and skin discolouration is reduced.

KELO-COTE® Gel is an extremely user-friendly silicone gel for the prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids. It has been proven to reduce and flatten scars, alleviate itching and reduce redness. KELO-COTE® Gel is characterised in particular by its proven effectiveness in numerous studies and its patented Crosslink technology. This results in the formation of an optimal, cross-linked occlusive film that hydrates the scar tissue. Fibroblast proliferation is inhibited and collagen synthesis is reduced.

KELO-COTE® Gel is suitable for the treatment of fresh and older scars, after general surgical procedures, injuries, wounds and burns. The product can be used on joints, in the crook of the knee or elbow, on hairy areas of the body and also on large scars. KELO-COTE® Gel contains chemically inert, highly compatible silicone and is also suitable for treating children or people with sensitive skin. KELO-COTE® Gel can be used together with pressure bandages or other scar therapies.

How to use

• Ensure that the area of skin to be treated is clean and dry.
• Apply a very thin layer of Kelo-cote® to the affected skin area and allow the gel to dry.
• Apply Kelo-cote® twice a day.
• Kelo-cote® Gel should remain on the skin for 24 hours to achieve maximum effect.
• After drying, cosmetics or sun protection can be applied to the Kelo-cote® film.
• Instructions for use: If Kelo-cote® has not dried within 4-5 minutes, you have probably used too much gel. Carefully remove the excess gel and then allow the skin area to dry. The recommended duration of treatment is at least 60-90 days. For very large and older scars, a longer application may be necessary if no improvement is seen after the first 90 days.
• Advice: Direct contact with the eyes, mucous membranes. Avoid 3rd degree burns and open wounds. The gel may only be applied to undamaged skin. It may leave stains on clothing if it is not completely dry. For external use only. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue therapy and consult your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the tube.
