Vitamin B 2 belongs to the group of water-soluble B vitamins that are not stored by the body and must therefore be replaced daily. Water-soluble vitamins such as riboflavin are a component of enzymes that control the metabolism of carbohydrates, fatty acids and amino acids and play a central role in energy metabolism in the cell.
